Research Associate, University of Glasgow

Dr. Chunlin Qu is a Research Associate in the Quantum Circuits Group at University of Glasgow, where he works on superconducting qubit fabrication for quantum computing. His current research focuses on developing niobium (Nb) trilayer qubits to improve scalability, coherence, and stability, advancing the practical realization of quantum processors.

He completed his PhD in Electronic and Electrical Engineering at University of Glasgow in 2024, where he pioneered the first thermal Al2O3 based normally-off MOSFETs on hydrogen-terminated diamond. Previously, he completed a Master’s degree focused on developing a catalytic hydrogen spillover method for diamond surface termination, and a Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Science and Technology.
