PhD Researcher, University of Glasgow

Sagar Satyapal is a PhD researcher in the Quantum Circuits Group at the University of Glasgow. His research focuses on understanding and mitigating two-level system (TLS) losses in niobium-on-silicon coplanar waveguide (CPWG) resonators. He combines nanofabrication and cryogenic microwave characterisation to study how material interfaces and fabrication techniques influence loss behaviour, with the goal of improving the metrology and quality factors of superconducting quantum circuits.

He holds an MSc in Quantum Technologies from the University of Glasgow, where he specialised in theoretical modelling of quantum transduction between superconducting and optical systems, and a BSc in Physics from Loughborough University.
