Silvia Zorzetti is a Principal Engineer at Fermilab and the Head of Fermilab’s Quantum Computing Co-Design and Quantum Communication Department. Additionally, she leads the QIS Ecosystem Thrust within the SQMS Research Center. Silvia pursued her graduate studies at the University of Pisa in Italy while holding the position of Marie Curie Fellow at CERN, where she conducted her research project.
In 2017, Silvia joined Fermilab as a Bardeen Fellow. In 2023, she received recognition as a recipient of the DOE Early Career Award for her research in Quantum Transduction. Silvia Zorzetti actively mentors several students and interns at SQMS and holds an adjunct professorship position at Northwestern University.
