Francesco Fidecaro
Professor of Applied Physics, University of Pisa; Physics and Sensing Focus Area Team Member, SQMS
Areas of Expertise: Quantum Optics
Thrust: Science
Francesco Fidecaro works on gravitational wave detection with the Virgo interferometer, located 10 miles from Pisa. Virgo is part of the worldwide network of interferometers that includes the two LIGO in the United States and KAGRA in Japan. Francesco is interested in the manipulation of quantum states for high precision position measurements.
