Associate Professor, University of Pisa; Physics and Sensing Focus Area Team Member, SQMS
Areas of Expertise: Quantum Computing, Computational Science
Gianna Del Corso is an associate professor of numerical analysis at the Department of Computer Science, University of Pisa. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Milan. She has visited the Computer Science Department at Columbia University in New York and the Computer Science Department at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore. Her scientific interests range from the computation of eigenvalues of rank-structured and unitary matrices to spectral techniques for the ranking and classification of data. Her interest in the field of quantum computing lies in the study of quantum walks and quantum hitting time, as well as in the design of quantum machine learning algorithms.
