Jason Hogan
Assistant Professor of Physics, Stanford University; Physics and Sensing Focus Area Lead Team Member, Stanford University Institutional PI, SQMS
Areas of Expertise: AMO Physics, Quantum Sensing
Thrust: Science
Jason Hogan’s research aims to develop quantum sensors for fundamental physics. He investigates methods to increase the sensitivity of atom interferometry for applications, including searches for dark matter and gravitational wave detection in new frequency ranges. As part of SQMS, he is studying the use of quantum optimal control and other methods to improve the fidelity of quantum state manipulations of ultracold atoms using optical transitions.
