The Dravid group has two major themes relevant to SQMS research activities: (1) Understanding of decoherence issues in superconducting qubits, and (2) Microscopy and characterization of transmons and related device architecture.
In the first theme, we are developing approaches and ideas to establish structure-coherency relationship in regards to superconducting qubits, particularly in transmon architecture.
In the second theme, we explore and implement microscopy/characterization instrumentation, techniques, and applications for imaging, spectroscopy and diffraction of surfaces and interfaces associated with qubit architectures.
Overall, our broader contribution to SQMS is to decipher real and reciprocal space characteristics that may provide quantitative and correlative relationship to quantum coherency that forms the basis for quantum information systems and related technologies.
